Debbie Maronik

Debbie Maronik has been involved in the fashion industry for most of her life. She began teaching at Lakehead in 1979, and after graduating from Toronto’s Seneca College in 1980, became one of the founding members of the Modeling Association of Canada, (MAOC).

In 1984 Debbie became a partner at Lakehead Modeling with her mother, Pat Potts. After 10 successful years with the Modeling Association of Canada, Debbie was elected President in 1990. Under Debbie’s leadership, MAOC enshrined itself as a leader in the Canadian modeling industry. After her mother’s retirement in 1992, Debbie also became President of Lakehead Modeling.

Over the past 35 years, Debbie has helped launch the careers of countless models across Canada. In recent years, Lakehead models have signed contracts in key fashion and entertainment centers such as Paris, Hamburg, Milan, Tokyo, London and Los Angeles to name but a few.

Ken Audziss got his start in the fashion industry in 1991 when he took a course at Lakehead. In both 1994 and 1995, he was scouted in the Model Search Thunder Bay competition by top agent Elmer Olsen and placed in the top 10 both years. In 1995, he also competed at the Modeling Association of Canada Convention in Toronto.

In 1996, Ken began teaching at Lakehead Modeling and working for the Modeling Association of Canada. Over the past 14 years, he has led seminars and judged model searches across Canada, produced fashion shows and events, and has done print and commercial work for Elephant & Castle, Eaton’s and Cadillac Fairview. In the late 90s, Ken teamed up with a Hollywood producer on several television projects. He became Vice-President of the new Lakehead Models•Talent in 2008.

Kathryn Greco

Kathryn Greco

Kathryn Greco was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie. Kathryn got her start in the modeling industry in 1983, when she was scouted by the Miss Sault Ste. Marie Pageant. She won the title and went on to represent the Sault in the Miss Canada Pageant where she placed in the top 10.

While attending university in Halifax, Kathryn continued modeling and acting. After graduation, she returned to the Sault and began teaching summer courses in modeling. By 1993, her summer courses had evolved to a full-time modeling school and agency, L’Image Model Management. L’Image operated in the Sault until Kathryn moved to the Greater Toronto Area in 2003.

A professional make-up artist, Kathryn also provides consulting services for the health, wellness and beauty industries. As a working model and actor, she has appeared in Flashpoint, Nikita, Lost Girl and Saw Seven. Her commercial credits include Nescafe, Benelyn, and Little Tykes and print work for Lays Potato Chips and Baby’s R Us. Kathryn joined Lakehead Models•Talent in 2009.
